You choose the activities you would like to do and we will take care of the rest. All day excursions or just hanging out at the lake, it is your choice. Enjoy all day or hourly scenic Horseback rides or take an adventurous overnight pack trip into the surrounding wilderness; fish gold medal trout waters right outside your door or take a guided fishing trip on one of the surrounding gold medal streams. Spend the day at the lake, hike into the back-country and see the abundance of wildlife in the area or bring your mountain bikes or ATV’s and explore the area’s back-roads.
For more educational activities, we offer personalized equine instruction starting from properly tacking your horse to advanced riding and equitation, fly fishing lessons, trap shooting, back country survival, using maps and GPS, wildlife conservation, and forest ecology.
Best of the Southwest
The Durango area has so many exciting excursions such as the historic Durango – Silverton Narrow Gauge Train. Step back in time at Mesa Verde National Park and see the cliff dwellings and archeology of the Anasazi people.
For the more adventurous, try white water rafting, back-country jeep tours, glider plane rides, the alpine slide at Purgatory Ski Resort or ride a zip line among the treetops.
Picture your family swimming in natural hot springs, visiting the 4 corners monument, singing along at a chuck wagon dinner, or visit the surrounding historic mining towns of Silverton, Ouray and Telluride along the alpine scenic loop. Whatever you choose to do, we will plan your activates and have all the reservations ready when you arrive.

Our guest accommodations are located right at our ranch which is a short 25 minute drive from downtown Durango. Choose the lodge for groups of 6 or more or the guest house for groups up to 4.
